Always nice to get some update photos from Will Corry. The recored race radiator is back and has been fitted along with the Mocal oil cooler.
The bonnet is also looking more complete with the fitting of the side lights.
We now await Pete at Broofabs expert skills in fabricating the exhaust manifold, pedal box and catch tank which are all being bespoke made. Click here to see the latest photos which have been added to the build gallery.
Will Corry sent me a few more teaser photos this morning!
The Holes are now sorted for side lights and nose is just set on loosely on the car for now.
The number plates and bespoke bonnet badge will be going on next weekend.
There are still a few bits to get before the engine can be finished, but it won’t be long now to completion of this unique Austin Healey Lenham GT Sprite.
Please do take a look at the build gallery Page
The Seats are now fitted and Fuel line will be finished this week things are progressing towards the big day of engine start up!
Lots of new photos have been added to the build gallery! Enjoy
Received this photo this evening from Pete at Brookfab who is designing the manifold for YFY 467. He has started designing the Flange. Another step closer to the engine firing up!
Will Corry and his team have been busy over the last week or so planning the next stage of build.
Below is an update on what is planned and been completed:
Will Corry made my morning when I awoke a batch of latest photos had come through at 2:30am!
The engine is now sitting proud in YFY 467. A history of the engine will follow shortly, but it does have a Goodwood pedigree and was used in the Westlake Cup by Will when is own engine became ill.

it feels like years to finally get to see YFY 467 in the Belfast sunshine! But she is on her temporary wheels and sitting outside whilst Will gets his car ready for an event.
Roll on the engine and gearbox mounting!
More photos can be found here on the build gallery Page
Spoken with the wheel manufacturer today and we need to confirm the offsets and the dims on the above drawing before they can start their manufacturing. It will then be a lead time of around 10 weeks.
In terms of tyres we will probably go with Dunlop CR65 race tyres.
Will’s team have been busy today! YFY 467 is now sitting on my old MG Midgets wheels! Unfortunately they are a little modern for HRDC.
It’s been a little quiet on the build front for a while but tonight I have added a number of new photos to the build gallery!
We need a few things like new wheel cylinders for the back. Will Corry is aiming to have hubs painted very soon, all new bearings are already fitted.
The hubs were primed yesterday. Once painted black they can go on followed by the half shafts and then set the drums on and set the hubs on and finally the wheels.
I have finally decided on the wheels and the manufacturer is able to make a special set at our required size. They are going to look very special.
Wills team are starting to paint the engine the same colour of original car.
The next stage will be getting the engine and gearbox in and mounted!
